Alchemy Series
The Alchemy pieces are constructed of perforated steel, copper wire, and maple. I oxidize the metal with various solutions of vinegar, salt, and hydrogen peroxide before attaching the frame.
They are explorations of the textural and colorful beauty of oxidation in abstract forms. The textures of the oxidation are layered with the textures of the materials, and again with the textures of the constructed patterns.
