Last fall, I had the pleasure of wandering through the workshop and warehouse at Artik in San Jose. They were starting the process of shutting down the architecture and art business and were giving away tons of materials and tools to artists. I found this eye-shaped piece of perforated steel, plus a whole bin full of copper wire. It spoke to me of my Alchemy series, and I began to slowly plan this new piece. It took me a while, but I finally finished “Shout.” It’s 15”x38” with an integrated steel frame. Beautiful patina!
