Alchemy Series Small works

The Alchemy series is an exploration of the textural and colorful beauty of oxidation in abstract forms. The textures of the oxidation are layered with the textures of the materials, and again with the textures of the constructed patterns.

Medium: Each piece is constructed of perforated steel, copper wire, and an integrated maple frame. I oxidize the metal with various solutions of vinegar, salt, and hydrogen peroxide before attaching the frame.
